Twenty five Flexcell FLX-EE 1S5P photovoltaic modules (lamination on ETFE ) have been installed on the roof of a prototype of the ‘ter’ Poitou-Charentes railway (France).

The rated power installed will allow to

- ensure the operations of the security equipment during extended breakdowns (light, sound system, ventilation, automatic door opening)

- enhance the comfort of the train thanks to a pre-ventilation and pre-heating system, which minimize the energy consumption when the train starts up

- reduce the power consumption of the train, the operating costs and CO2 production ; increase the batteries’ lifetime
